SETUP Command
The SETUP command has options for controlling DairyComp parameters and preferences, display and printer settings, and more. Settings contained in SETUP are independent of cowfiles. To change things like items, commands and cowfile specific parameters, use the ALTER command.
The items changed in SETUP are stored in either the file DCSETUP.TXT or DCSETUP.DAT (not the cowfile), so they affect all cowfiles equally.
Running SETUP in the command line without any switches opens a tabbed window with various options. However, you can also run it with switches to bypass the tabbed window and quickly run setup commands like the ones shown in the syntax examples below.
- Command: SETUP
- ItemList: None
- FOR Statement: None
- BY Statement: None
Syntax examples:
- PON!MYREPORT!POFF to enable printing, run and print MYREPORT, then disable printing again.
- PON = SETUP\4E
- POFF = SETUP\4D
