Print CowCards
You can print CowCards by clicking the Print icon in the main tool bar, typing P in the secondary command line, or by using the EXAM or LIST commands. Though the icon and secondary command line options are quicker, you'll find that using the EXAM and LIST commands offer much more robust printing options.
EXAM is a powerful feature that lets you print full-record reports for individual CowCards. Using an EXAM command, you can quickly pull and print CowCard pages in the command line. Though you can search across multiple animals using EXAM, you can only print these results if the animals are dead or sold.
EXAM
Item List (Optional; use the \I switch to display)
BY Statement (Optional)
To search and view the CowCards for all dry cows in the herd, for example, you can use EXAM FOR DDAT>0.
When submitted without numeric switches, EXAM asks which pages, from 1 to 6, you want to print. EXAM also asks if the paper should be ejected to a new page between each CowCard page, and/or between each animal.
125: DairyComp displays page 1 of the CowCard for the animal with ID number 125.
125\4: DairyComp displays page 4 of the CowCard for the animal with ID number 125.
EXAM: DairyComp asks you to submit an animal's ID and then displays page 1 of the animal's CowCard. This command automatically activates when you click the CowCards option in the Outlook bar.
EXAM \46TKY: DairyComp asks you to submit animal IDs, and for each ID entered, prints page 4 for each animal and the page 6 lactation plot in 5 lb increments.

Switches are normally entered in the command line along with the command, such as EXAM FOR PEN=2\4.
Where the EXAM command is great for providing detailed reports about specific animals, use the LIST command for reports about specific data points (such as animals with LACT=0) across the herd.
LIST ID FOR SCC>200: DairyComp displays a list of the ID numbers for all animals in the herd with an SCC Somatic cell count value greater than 200 in the current lactation.
LIST ID PEN FOR SCC>200 BY PEN: DairyComp displays a list of the ID and pen numbers for all animals in the herd with an SCC value greater than 200 in the current lactation. The animals are then sorted in the list by their current pen number.
