Events Tab
Events are specific occurrences (a pregnancy or birth, for example) that happen to an animal, and they typically contain more information than an item. You can even create specific items, like the date of a breeding or the animal's age when they had pneumonia, based on an event.
As illustrated below, the Events tab on the CowCard is divided into two sections:
- The top section contains a list of 16 items that are relevant for the animal.
- The bottom section lists the animal's most recent events (up to 64 events) in descending order from oldest to newest.
Be aware of the guidelines below when viewing Events in the CowCard:
-
The items at the top of this tab are customizable. Right‑click on any item to add, change, or remove it.
- The events listed at the bottom of the CowCard represent the current lactation cycle and is thus considered the active lactation record for this animal.
- With the exception of the BRED event, you can add remarks to any event entered on the CowCard. The BRED event instead stores the sire, technician, breeding result, and breeding code information for the breeding.
- Every lactation record starts with the FRESH event. If a FRESH event is entered erroneously, see the Fix a Fresh Event FAQ.
- When a cow calves, the whole animal record is archived, and only selected information is carried forward to the next lactation record.
